Client Challenge

SSI Schaefer had reached a point where it needed a fixed‑term, on‑site IT administrator alongside reliable day‑to‑day IT support. To ensure the right fit, the company decided to go to tender for a fully outsourced IT partner.

Digital Origin had previously worked with SSI Schaefer on its SD‑WAN implementation, demonstrating strong technical capability and an understanding of the business. When the time came to outsource their IT help desk, Digital Origin was invited to participate in the tender process.

The company’s non‑negotiable requirements were clear: the provider had to be local, highly capable, and able to supply a dedicated on‑site resource. Digital Origin met all criteria, positioning them as an ideal partner.

What We Did

SSI Schaefer, one of the world’s leading providers of intralogistics solutions, materials handling and storage systems, engaged Digital Origin to provide a dedicated, on-premise service over two years ago. This meant that, in addition to the person on site, we have access to the many years of specialist knowledge gained over the years. We have recently renewed our contract with Digital Origin and I expect our relationship will continue in the years ahead.
